I want all parents to feel they are connected with us in the learning process this year, so I have made a parent portal which will provide links and information that can help you and your child stay in the buzz with us! Enjoy!
Reading at Home!
I would love to see the students reading at night, at least two or three times a week. I know school is hectic with homework and extracurricular activities, so I understand. I think that this reading schedule will help them produce relevant vocabulary for their essay writing, but also keep them current on popular books or even past literature for classroom discussions.
here is a link that I love:

Parents, here is the link to the site that I use in regards to most of my short videos and short stories. I want you to have this site also if there are any other videos or short stories that your child might be interested in seeing.

This is the link to the state common core standards if you wish to view them to get an idea of the foundations that we are covering in class.
